Sample

Adult Jewish Households in the Chicago Metropolitan Area
Sample Size
2148
Sample Notes
The data were gathered from 2,148 individuals in households with one or more Jewish individuals via a telephone interview survey. It is estimated in the published report that there are 302,400 people (of whom about 261,000 are Jews) living in 146,400 Jewish households. The sampling universe included Jewish households located in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Dual sampling frames were used to obtain the sample. Respondents were obtained from a list from the Jewish United Fund and through random digit dialing.
Study Notes
The data are weighted to compensate for differential sampling by methodology and the incidence of multiple telephone lines in Jewish households. Design effects are not reported.
