Definitions
The "Data Bank" is the site operated by the Mandell L. Berman Institute North American Jewish Data Bank and the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at the Internet address you are now visiting.
The "Data Bank" refers to content, tools and services provided by the North American Jewish Data Bank and selected by the Data Bank for use in their entirety, or selected in part to supplement content from the Data Bank Site.
"You" refers to any user of this site.
Permitted Use of Data and Downloadable Content
You are only allowed to use data downloaded from the data bank for non-commercial purposes.
In order to download data, you will first be required to register with the Data Bank and agree to the conditions of use including:
- Data sets will be used only to produce aggregated information and statistical analyses in which individuals cannot be identified.
- Data may not be sold or redistributed to other individuals without the written consent of the Data Bank.
- Authors of published works based on the NAJDB shall send copies of their works (or detailed reference to the publication) to the Data Bank for inclusion in a data base of related publications.
- Any publications using material from the Data Bank must reference the data set, acknowledging the principal investigators/sponsoring organization, as well as the NAJDB.
Citations
Publications based on NAJDB
data should acknowledge these sources by means of
bibliographic citations. There are a number of accepted
formats. Below are three commonly used citation formats:
